Across this nation, thousands of women who once defended our freedom
are now fighting for their own safety.
- Over 3,300 women veterans are homeless on any given night.
- Women veterans are more than twice as likely to experience homelessness as civilian women.
- Nearly 1 in 3 have experienced military sexual trauma.
- Many are survivors of violence, carrying wounds long after their service ends
These are not statistics.
These are women who said “yes” to serve…
and now have nowhere safe to go.

I am the wife of a 30-year disabled veteran.
I am the mother of a veteran.
I am family to those who served.
These women are not a project.
